The Commander is a web-based UNIX shell interface. From a web browser, this script allows you to run UNIX commands on your web host server (depending on the permissions set by your server administrator). This is particularly useful if your domain hosting provider does not allow telnet access. Using this script may result in inadvertent deletion of very important files on your server. This whois tool will automatically query the correct registry, and return all of the data it can find. For example, if you enter www.geektools.com, it will find that there is only a record for geektools.com, not www.geektools.com, and will return that data. If you enter www.cisco.co.uk, it will find the data for cisco.co.uk, and return it. If you enter an ip address, it will return the ARIN record for the address, or if the address is assigned to RIPE or APNIC, it will return the RIPE or APNIC record. For example, a search for 195.184.45.18 will return the RIPE record for www.bayer.dk. It can be run as both command line and CGI.
